Telluride's Summer Rain With a Spectacular View at San Sophia Overlook

The colors of the wedding were a combination of light greens with an emphasis on sage green. All of the bridesmaids had different styles and colors of sage. The florals were a combination of yellow, pink, peach and orange.

The inspiration for their wedding came from the love of the outdoors, musical and dance background and love of color. The inspiration was drawn from the ethereal texture of the clouds that float through the mountains that surround telluride. Layers of texture were brought in through 3D transparent linens with custom cut floral patterns and the airy nature of the floral pieces.

Thomas and Claire met 6 years ago when they were both analysts just 1 year out of college. They worked for different companies and were introduced by fellow bankers at a Municipal Advisory conference. At the time, Claire was studying for my municipal advisor series exams and had zero social life, let alone time for boys. The conference ended with a dinner-turned-casino night. Claire was sitting at a dinner table in a large hotel ballroom with a spare seat next to her and Thomas swooped in. She was immediately taken with his confident yet respectful nature and his beautiful blue eyes. They ended up talking all night and played with our fake money at the craps table. They pooled our “winnings” together of 8 measly raffle tickets and dropped them in the overflowing StubHub concert tickets bucket. Thomas told her if they win, he would take her out on a date to any concert of my choosing in the next 7 days. They had no shot at winning and she didn’t think she would see this boy again given her intense study schedule, so she agreed. By the fate of God, their raffle ticket was called and they went to Justin Timberlake at Formula 1 the next weekend. They fell in love and the rest is history.

Claire wore a gorgeous wedding gown designed by the very talented Sara Nouri. She later changed into a spectacular jumpsuit for the reception designed by Nookie .

Thomas wore a tuxedo designed by Calvin Klein.

It was important to the couple that the menu was sourced locally.

All of the vegetables and proteins were sourced regionally from the rocky mountains.

A Gypsophillia framed aisle and full arch was the perfect anchor for the epic spring view. Claire’s bouquet was a fresh pastel gathering of Juliet roses, peonies, freesia and Cala lilies. Hanging babies breath clouds balanced the beams in the reception room while lilies and orchids modernized tables. The cake mirrored the bouquets with garden roses in peach tones.

Kelly gray, owner of Kelly Gray cakes created a beautiful white layered cake decorated in real florals. The flavor was a creative lemon blueberry.

Mannequin The Band provided all the entertainment for the couples wedding day. This live band was an essential part of the evening as Claire is a dance fanatic and ended up on stage doing the splits at the end of the night.

They had special koozies! Thomas loves house music and likes to DJ/mix music at their house when they have friends over for parties. Their house is never silent, he always has music playing. Claire has a dance background and dance any chance that she gets…especially at weddings. That is how they came up with their koozie design – headphones for the “O” in Thomas and a dancing girl posing for the “A” in Claire

Claire’s mother is an incredible artist and has a special talent for watercolor. She painted the design for both save the date and invitation and it was a fun showcasing her beautiful talent and the iconic images of telluride.

Claire’s mother watercolor painted the name cards for each guest for the sit down dinner and they wanted the colors to represent the colors in the wedding flowers—yellow, pink, peach and orange. They scanned the paintings and printed each name 4 times on each color and sorted them out on the welcome table so that the colors popped all throughout

The table numbers were painted by Claire’s mother as well and they were these beautiful pink peonies that matched perfectly with the table setting.
