This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why, and what we do with it. It is deliberately short, because the site collects very little.

What We Collect

When you use the contact form. We collect the name, email address, message and optional subject you enter, along with the page you sent it from. We use these only to read and answer your message.

Ordinary server records. Like any website, our servers and hosting provider record technical details of requests — IP address, browser and device type, the page requested and the time. These are used to operate the site, keep it secure and diagnose faults.

That is all. This site has no user accounts, takes no payments, runs no newsletter, and sets no advertising or analytics cookies. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not buy personal data from other sources.

Images Served by Other Publishers

Many articles here carry images that are served directly from the website of the publisher the article came from, rather than copied onto our servers. When your browser loads one of those images, it contacts that publisher's server, which will see your IP address and may apply its own cookies and privacy policy. We have no control over what those publishers do with that information.

How Long We Keep It

Contact-form messages are kept while we deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted. Server records are kept for a short period for security and diagnostics.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for marketing. We share it only with the service providers who host this site and its content system, and only so that they can run it on our behalf, or where the law requires it.

Your Rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us through our Contact page with enough detail for us to find your request. We will not ask you to send identity documents by email.
