Heidi Klum and Daughter Leni Contrast in Black and White at BoF 500 Gala as Heidi Brings Back Stéphane Rolland’s Platforms

Heidi Klum brought a couture reference to the Business of Fashion 500 Gala in Paris on Saturday, matching her 2025 spring couture Stéphane Rolland ensemble with the look’s original runway heels with a seemingly bespoke twist.

Her shoes — platform pumps from Look 11 of the spring 2025 couture collection — featured a closed satin toe encased in clear PVC, a covered ivory platform and thin tonal ankle straps. The shoes shared the same proportions seen on Rolland’s runway, where Look 11 paired the platforms the exact look. Klum’s version kept the silhouette but shifted the tone from bright white to soft ivory to match her custom overlay.

Leni Klum joined in contrast, wearing a strapless black gown covered in beading and sheer panels. In video from the gala, she appears to wear black satin pumps with a low heel.
Across recent carpets, the return of sculpted ankle-strap heels has marked a shift toward more engineered evening shapes. FKA Twigs favored Tom Ford’s 105 mm patent stilettos with a cutout strap during Paris Fashion Week, while Angel Reese opted for Gianvito Rossi’s organza-paneled Dorotea sandals at the New York Film Festival. In September, Dua Lipa stepped out in Ford’s tortoiseshell double-buckle stilettos in New York. The shared focus on taut proportions and visible construction places Klum’s Rolland platforms squarely within this season’s sharper, structure-driven mood.

The BoF 500 Gala, held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Paris, hosted Kim Kardashian, Charli XCX, Demi Lovato, Colman Domingo and Moncler chairman Remo Ruffini among the evening’s guests. The annual event celebrated the 2025 BoF 500 class — among them Giambattista Valli, Dries Van Noten’s Julian Klausner and actors “Freen” Sarocha Chankimha and “Becky” Rebecca Patricia Armstrong.
